Tomorrow’s Tape: Beige Book

Fed’s Beige Book, 2 p.m. Besides a number of Fed speakers (see below), investors will also get the Fed’s periodic take on the state of the economy, the Beige Book. Given the suddenly more-shaky-than-we-thought state of the economy, this one will get plenty of attention.

Import/export prices, 8:30 a.m. Import prices are seen rising 0.9% in March, after rising 0.4% in February.

Five Fed speakers on the circuit tomorrow: Dennis Lockart (8:20 a.m.); Esther George (9:30); Eric Rosengren (10:30); James Bullard (4 p.m.) and Janet Yellen (7 p.m.)

Weekly MBA mortgage applications survey (7 a.m.) for the week ended April 6.

EIA Weekly Petroleum Status Report (10:30 a.m.) for the week ended April 6. Crude-oil stocks, after rising 9 million barrels the week before, seen rising only 2.2 million last week.
