Tomorrow’s Tape: Okay, Marissa Mayer, You’re on the Clock
By Paul Vigna
Tomorrow’s the first big, heavy earnings day, but even with blue chips like Coke, Goldman Sachs, J&J, and Intel reporting, Yahoo is likely to draw the most interest, seeing the as the company just poached Marissa Mayer from Google and is installing her as their latest CEO.
So with a new CEO and presumably a new strategic vision (all to come in due time and be a smashing success, we’re quite sure), the earnings may not even matter (FWIW, Street consensus is 20c/EPS).
Still, the company’s going on its third CEO in the space of a year. It’s hard to get traction in the hyper-speed tech world when you’re cycling through executives that fast.
