Los que estamos invirtiendo a largo plazo no tenemos nada de que preocuparnos.
Esto va a pasar como todo pasa. Paciencia y a esperar.

Tomar medidas de precaución, lavarse las manos, no tocarse la cara. No asistir a eventos de ningún tipo. Evitar multitudes.
Cuídense mucho.

Initial jobless claims down 4,000 to 211,000
The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment insurance fell last week for a second straight week, an indication that the coronavirus had not yet hit the labor market in a major way.

The Labor Department said Thursday that applications for unemployment benefits, a good proxy for layoffs, dropped by 4,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 211,000. Claims had fallen by 4,000 in the previous week as well.

Applications for unemployment benefits are being watched for any signs that the virus has started to trigger major layoffs.

Some economists are already warning that the economic impact of the virus could be severe enough to push the global economy into a recession.

Those concerns have already shown up on Wall Street where the stock market has suffered record declines over the past two weeks.

On Wednesday evening in an address from the Oval Office, President Donald Trump unveiled a series of measures designed to cushion the economic impact of the virus including allowing Americans who have been affected to delay paying their income taxes past the normal April 15 deadline.

Some analysts argue that the economy should be strong enough to withstand the adverse effects of the virus. Last week, the government reported that the unemployment rate in February returned to a 50-year low of 3.5% as employers added 273,000 new jobs, evidence that the labor market was in good shape before the coronavirus began spreading across the country.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the U.S. will suspend all travel from Europe to the U.S. for 30 days, and that the new rules will go into effect on Friday night.
The European Central Bank decided Thursday not to cut interest rates, despite market expectations for a reduction amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, which disappointed markets and deepened the already significant losses.
European markets posted their worst one-day drop in history on Thursday, as investors reacted to President Donald Trump’s decision to impose restrictions on travel to the U.S. from some countries in Europe, and the European Central Bank’s decision not to cut interest rates.

TICKER COMPANY NAME PRICE CHANGE %CHANGE VOLUME
FTSE FTSE 100 FTSE 5274.57 -601.95 -10.24 1576340188
DAX DAX DAX 9211.83 -1226.85 -11.75 307795772
CAC CAC 40 Index CAC 4053.98 -556.27 -12.07 266440346
The pan-European Stoxx 600 had plummeted 11% by the close, with travel and leisure stocks sinking 12.8% following Trump’s announcement of a ban on European travel.

Trump said Wednesday that the U.S. will suspend all travel from Europe to the U.S. for 30 days to curb the spread of coronavirus. The new rules will go into effect on Friday night. The measures will affect 26 European countries that are part of the visa-free Schengen area. The U.K. and Ireland are exempted from the restrictions, as are American citizens who have undergone virus screening.

“These restrictions will be adjusted subject to conditions on the ground,” Trump said, blaming Europe for not taking adequate action to control the spread of the virus; Italy is the worst hit country outside China and a nationwide lockdown continues there.

The European Central Bank decided Thursday not to cut interest rates, despite market expectations for a reduction amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, which disappointed markets and deepened the session’s already significant losses. Analysts had expected a 10 basis point cut.

The central bank did announce measures to support bank lending, and expanded its quantitative easing (QE) program by 120 billion euros ($135.28 billion).
