Couple of Fed speakers on the docket: Richmond Fed’s Jeffrey Lacker, at 9:45 a.m., and Dallas Fed president Richard Fisher, at 12:45 p.m. Given what the market’s expecting of the central bank these days, any and all comments will draw attention.

Earnings:

The event of the day will actually come after the day’s over: Walt Disney, fresh off the record weekend of The Avengers, is set to report earnings at 4:15 p.m. Street consensus is for EPS of 55c.

Other reports include Wendy’s, OfficeMax, Apollo Group.

Imprimir[-] Texto [+] BERLIN (Reuters) - La producción industrial alemana repuntó de un débil invierno boreal para crecer más de lo esperado en marzo, dado que los pedidos de fuera de la zona euro aceleraron su actividad, según datos conocidos el martes que elevaron las expectativas de que la economía ganará fortaleza este año.
La producción en la mayor economía de Europa saltó un 2,8 por ciento en marzo, al recuperarse de la caída revisada del 0,3 por ciento de febrero, dijo el Ministerio de Economía en un comunicado.

Las cifras se situaron bastante por encima del promedio de estimaciones de los analistas en un sondeo de Reuters que apuntaban a un alza del 0,8 por ciento.
