Tomorrow’s Tape: The Social Calendar, At Least, is Full
By Paul Vigna
Economics:
Two-day G8 summit at Camp David begins.
The economic calendar is pretty bare otherwise, as is the earnings calendar, which means tomorrow’s going to be dominated mainly by two stories: the crisis in Europe, and Facebook’s IPO.
Facebook priced its public offering this afternoon, at $38 a share, raising $16 billion ($18.4 billion with the over-allotment.) Shares are expected to begin trading around 11 a.m. New York time. So at least everybody’s social calendar, so to speak, is full.
There isn’t anything major on the calendar for Europe, either, but keep an eye on the news flow, especially anything related to Spanish banks and Greece in general. Those are the big flash points right now.
